You know what's odd about this?
People get offended, but he's simply stating his beliefs - which he assumes are the truth.
Exactly like in hymns - when people sing 'praise the lord' they are assuming there is a god, and that what they believe is true.
It's like the hymn for atheists (the anti-hymn if you will).
You can't claim it's offensive when you do the exact same thing - just with the opposite belief.
