Raising Children in Humanist Families (Harvard Humanist meetup Mar 27)

From The Humanist Chaplaincy at Harvard:

Raising Children in Humanist Families
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This Sunday, March 27, join us for a Humanist parenting panel discussion and break out groups. In late 2008 we hosted Dale McGowan, editor of Parenting Beyond Belief and Raising Freethinkers, for a successful day-long seminar. That day we discussed how, in our religiously diverse society, Humanist parents face unique challenges and can struggle to find community support. Now, please join us for a follow-up discussion on raising kids in a Humanist household, and how we might offer more family and child-oriented programming in the future. Panelists to include MIT lecturer Donald Unger, author of Men CAN: The Changing Image & Reality of Fatherhood in America (Temple Univ. Press 2010), Charlotte Arsenault, MDiv '11, and Margo Woods, Professor of Nutrition, Tufts University.
Brunch and live music will be from 12:00-1:00. Discussion and break out groups at 1:30 and meditation at 3:30.
Highly trained and engaging child care will be provided from 1-4pm. RSVP's for child care would be appreciated (info@harvardhumanist.org) as would donations to offset this expense.
