I would like to respond to the nonsense that our guest speaker on ID said on religion.
He is a believer of exorcism. To me, that makes him a fucking idiot and a dangerous person. He did it because he believes in bullshit-christianity. Too bad. Another wasted mind. I would also like to add, that his mistrust of evidence would make him an anti-science person. Just a few quotes to remind such idiots of bullshit-christian-religious. "Allegations are not evidence. Hearsay is not evidence. Unsubstantiated claims are not evidence. Personal revelation is not evidence. Anecdotes are not evidence. Rumors are not evidence. Wild speculation is not evidence. Wishful thinking is not evidence. Illogical conclusions are not evidence. Disproved statements are not evidence. Logical fallacies are not evidence. Poorly designed/executed experiments are not evidence. Experiments with inconclusive results are not evidence. Experiments that are not and cannot be duplicated by others are not evidence. Dreams are not evidence. Hallucinations/delusions are not evidence. Experiments whose methodology is not open for scrutiny are not evidence. Data that requires a certain belief is not evidence. Information that is only knowable by a privileged few is not evidence. Information that cannot be falsified is not evidence. Information that cannot be verified is not evidence. Information that is ambiguous is not evidence. Hope that clears things up for everyone." I have more expectation that someone who is against ID would not be that fucking stupid. I guess I was wrong. |

I would also like to quote Steven Mading
"Everyone who says "you have to have faith" is being unreasonable, quite literally, no matter how politely they say it." And the speaker keep saying we don't understand because we don't have faith. That is unreasonable. That's just bullshit. |

David J Hess is just another bullshit religious Christian. The distortion is more obvious in his other book, and I would not waste any money on any of his book. |

Faith is a vice, not a virtue. Because faith shuts quest for truth. For example, faith in UFO is a vice, shuts questions. Being skeptical to UFO is a virtue, encourages search for truth. Too many people just don't get it. Even in Chinese culture, the popular phrase "善男信女" has been falsely associating faith (信) with goodness (善) for centuries. |

Hungary rally over constitution http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-16387117 |

The Good News Club: The Christian Right's Stealth Assault on America's Children
Katherine Stewart January 2012 http://www.amazon.com/dp/B008SLSAY6 In 2009, the Good News Club came to the public elementary school where journalist Katherine Stewart sent her children. The Club, which is sponsored by the Child Evangelism Fellowship, bills itself as an after-school program of “Bible study.” But Stewart soon discovered that the Club’s real mission is to convert children to fundamentalist Christianity and encourage them to proselytize to their “unchurched” peers, all the while promoting the natural but false impression among the children that its activities are endorsed by the school. Astonished to discover that the U.S. Supreme Court has deemed this—and other forms of religious activity in public schools—legal, Stewart set off on an investigative journey to dozens of cities and towns across the nation to document the impact. In this book she demonstrates that there is more religion in America’s public schools today than there has been for the past 100 years. The movement driving this agenda is stealthy. It is aggressive. It has our children in its sights. And its ultimate aim is to destroy the system of public education as we know it. |
