BURUNDI UNITARIAN CHURCH ATTACKED EARLY THIS MORNING
Dear Colleagues and Friends,
I am sorry to report that the Unitarian Church in Burundi was attacked early this morning by an armed group that apparently set off several grenades and shot a number of rounds at the church with firearms.
At this stage, there is no information to indicate if it is faith-related and it is regarding as a robbery.
More details and photos of the damage are in this pdf file:
Unitarian_Church_in_Burundi_attacked.pdfPlease do not worry unduly if you send an email of support to the Rev. Fulgence Ndagijimana, minister to Burundi Unitarians, and do not receive an immediate reply. Fulgence has told us by cellphone that Internet access is currently down in Burundi.
There is no need to send financial support at the present time but we will keep you advised if the situation changes.
Regards,
Steve Dick
